Hildebrandt Intermediate Awarded $2,550 for ‘Reads and Seeds’ Grant

KLEIN, TEXAS – Hildebrandt Intermediate has received a grant from the Klein ISD Education Foundation (KEF) for $2,550 to bring three mini-lending libraries to the school.

During an unexpected visit by the KEF Celebration Express, the Hildebrandt Mustangs were presented with the grant by Foundation directors, community members, and our Superintendent, Dr. Jenny McGown.

Generously sponsored by Lone Star College-University Park, the $2,550 grant will allow the school library to better serve students in the ACCESS program by working closely with them to manage the lending libraries.

Additionally, encouraging ACCESS students to propose solutions to library-related challenges, such as organizing book displays or resolving conflicts, will help foster critical thinking and problem-solving.

“This will be a great program to provide even more enrichment for our ACCESS students,” KEF President Bill Lakin said. “Doing for others grows intellect and provides an opportunity to think and act positively in various settings.”

This spring, the KEF Celebration Express distributed grants totaling $97,611. These grants will enrich the educational experiences of our students, supporting various innovative and engaging projects.

We sincerely thank all our grant sponsors who have made these initiatives possible. Your support plays a pivotal role in enhancing the educational journey of every Klein ISD student.

The Klein ISD Education Foundation accepts grant applications twice a year, encouraging, facilitating, and acknowledging creative projects that drive academic success for our Klein ISD students.
